Abide in Me

In John’s gospel, he describes Jesus using seven “I AM” statements, culminating in chapter 15 where Jesus says, “I am the true vine.” He goes on to describe His followers as branches, communicating to us that true life is found in Him, and as such we must abide, or remain, in Him. He tells us that the blessings that come when we abide in Him are fruitfulness, answered prayer, and joy. We abide by letting His love overwhelm us & by living obediently so that we love one another unconditionally.
